Green Coffee Oil is cold-pressed from coffee beans harvested while they are still green. They are crushed mechanically in a cold expeller pressing machine, yielding a light, green colored oil. It does not smell like brewed coffee or coffee essential oil, which are made from roasted coffee. When roasted, the chemical and aromatic composition of coffee beans change. Our Green Coffee Oil comes from a coffee farm in the South of Brazil that is certified organic by BCS Öko Garantie and the Brazilian Government Agency of Organic Program.
Green Coffee Oil is becoming increasingly popular in the cosmetics industry due to its high level of chlorogenic acid - a powerful antioxidant - and significant amounts of fatty acids and phytosterols, which promote excellent moisture retention and rapid skin penetration. Green Coffee Oil contains three times more antioxidants (polyphenols) than green tea and four times more than vitamin C.
Green Coffee Oil is very similar to the natural oils in the body, and has the same pH level of human skin. Thus, it helps maintain the balance of moisture levels of the skin, leaving it healthy. Coffee Oil can be applied directly to the skin as an intense night treatment for aged skin and is readily absorbed through the skin, leaving an extremely light, silky feel.
This oil is a highly prized ingredient for formulations intended to control lines and wrinkles, products for sensitive skin treatments, and anti-cellulite treatments (such as body firming lotions), because the enzymes found in green coffee help break down fat and smooth the swollen areas of skin, thus reducing the appearance of cellulite.
Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, Green Coffee Oil is used in eye creams and serums to diminish puffiness.
Green Coffee Oil helps to control symptoms of skin disorders, such as sores, itchy skin, scaling, and dead cell build up. Coffee Oil contains enzymes that stimulate detoxification and help in cleaning the skin, thus making it ideal for helping skin prone to acne.
In addition to caffeine, Green Coffee Oil is an excellent source of linolenic, oleic, and palmitic acids, and its high flavonóde content protects the skin against UV rays and helps treat injuries caused by excessive sun exposure. Green Coffee Oil has been used for years as a beauty treatment and is now being used by some of the most famous spas in the world to purify the skin and to treat cellulite.
Researchers are finding a wide range of therapeutic uses for Green Coffee Oil. It is considered one of the best free radical scavengers, with effective prophylactic and therapeutic properties.
This is my first time trying Green Coffee Oil. Wow, it penetrates the skin very nicely, has very soft consistency and definitely does the job!!! It is pricey, but the quality is superb!
